 Shiddat : Saga of Love (In my words)

This movie explains the finest saga of love. Love is divine. It is storm, cyclone, fire, insanity.   For some one it is like the  boat which can help in sailing through every storm, on other hand, for some one, it is storm in itself. It's different for every one. But, what is the common thread among everyone is SHIDDAT (Passion). Passion to forget everything in order to reach to its destination; to get one's loved one. It's the feeling which is free from all materialistic evils greed, selfish, ego etc. It's like devoting oneself completely for another's happiness, smile, make her/him feel top of the world amidst all misery, grief, pain, agony.

Let's start this movie. This movie is about a guy, named Jaggi, who came across a girl, named Kritika. They both got close to each other despite being breaking out into arguments in the very first meeting. Jaggi had very strong affection for Kritika. He used to follow her, help her in preparing for swimming competition. He told Kartika, that, rather than focusing on time, you took to complete 1 lap of swimming and many other things like how would I reduce my timing to complete 1 lap of swimming, how would I compete with other ones, you should enjoy swimming, enjoy water you are swimming through, enjoy every moment of it to the fullest. This advise made Kartika believe that Jaggi is very clear in his opinion, very transparent, very sharp etc. They both used to hang in the party, go to club, dancing, spending time with each other. Once they got close to each other and got very intimate. On the day of swimming competition, Kartika's parents had come from London ( they were very rich and affluent) to cheer up for her daughter. Her father observed Jaggi's cheering madly for Kritika while swimming competition, in which, Kartika won. When Kartika introduced Jaggi to her parents, then, her father handover a wedding card, which was the wedding card of Kartika and someone else. Looking at the card, Jaggi just got blank, but, he smiled and didn't let his feeling come on his face. 

        On very next day, he told Kartika to annul this marriage ceremony because he was the first preference for her and vice versa. She replied that if he wanna let her wedding cancelled, then, he should come in her wedding in order to do this. Kartika had no idea that Jaggi would take it seriously.

          Kartika and her parents departed from Punjab for London. Jaggi applied for visa many times, but, always, his visa got rejected. He was left with no option for reaching London other than taking illegal route to arrive there. He arrived France by getting into trucks, containers etc. But, in France, he was detained by French officials and got locked in detention centre. There he met Gautam, Indian IFS officer. 

          ( Once Jaggi had arrived at wedding reception of Gautam without invitation, he praised Gautam's philosophy of love so loudly that he came into notice of everyone that he was not from either bride side or bridegroom's one. Gautam had said that, the persons who are made for each other, definitely meet. Gautam said that if he had not met her fiancee in France, he would have met her at some other place like Netherland, London, etc, but, must would have met. Jaggi was very inspired by this philosophy. So by this incident Jaggi and Gautam had known to each other, in which, Jaggi had to be ousted from the party because he was uninvited guest and was behaving recklessly after getting drunk).

           Let's come back to our original story. In France detention centre, Gautam was the head of Indian embassy. When he came to know that Jaggi was there, he started arrangement for deporting Jaggi back to India. Jaggi pleaded a lot to Gautam for not deporting him back to India. He told Gautam that he had to go to London in order to got wedding ceremony of Kartika cancelled. Jaggi told him that he was deeply impressed by his philosophy of love. Gautam told Jaggi that he and his fiancee, Ira, were no more close together. Once they had fallen into argument on the topic of ideological differences and now they both were apart. 

         Jaggi got silent. Due to being Saturday, all detention centres and embassy were close so Gautam thought to let Jaggi be with him, so that, he might keep eyes on him, and, might safely deport Jaggi back to India. Gautam had brought Jaggi to a restaurant for getting him dinner done. Gautam had to tolerate Jaggi for two days, Saturday and Sunday because deportation centre would open on Monday. While coming to home from detention centre, Jaggi saw, sea. He asked Gautam that which place is on opposite side of the Sea. Gautam replied London. Jaggi got very excited and told him that he could reach other side by crossing sea through swimming. 

     Gautam smiled mockingly, and, said that temperature of English channel (sea) is 0° C and he got die easily within 10 mins because of hypothermia. It is not easy to cross English channel which is full of boisterous cold currents. Jaggi didn't say anything and got quite with a smile. He managed to escape out from Gautam's room in which was locked up by Gautam with some dollars and had left a letter that he woul any how would reach to his destination. 

         Gautam just got out of head that where he would search him. Jaggi had left a voice message to Kartika that he would arrive there on his wedding ceremony anyhow from a public booth of France. 

            ( Once Jaggi had ringed up Kartika from Gautam's cellphone to knew size of attire for her while he had spent some time with Gautam). 

             Kartika called back to Gautam but she came to know that Jaggi was missing and Gautam was still figuring out that where he might have gone. Then, Kartika said that he was telling something about swimming, but, it was not clear that for what Jaggi was talking about. Then, Gautam figured out that, it might be possible for that insane guy to execute idea of to cross English channel.

           Jaggi had bought a thermal suit for crossing English channel in order to get insulated from cold currents. But, it was not possible to cross 32 km English channel in one go. In between, he got tired and started to drown. Then, coast guard rescued Jaggi, who were deployed by Gautam and Ira. Gautam scolded a lot for his insanity. He couldn't believe that even such people exist in the world who might cross every obstacle for getting his loved one. And, how he was, who even didn't try to say sorry and come forward in order to sort out his relationship which got marred by a little argument. When Gautam told Kartika on call about insanity of Gautam who was trying to cross English channel in order to reach there, she just broke into tears, that, how anyone could love her so passionately, with so much SHIDDAT.
